Although Salesforce managed invoice records efficiently, finance teams still depended on manually uploading invoice data to the Government GST Portal for every E-Invoice. This process was time-consuming, prone to human error, and created unnecessary compliance risks while limiting visibility into invoice processing.
Manual intervention increased the risk of data inaccuracies, duplicate entries, and GST compliance issues.
There was no real-time visibility into E-Invoice generation status within Salesforce, making it difficult to monitor submissions and resolve failed transactions.
Salesforce lacked a centralized repository to securely store generated JSON payloads, Invoice Reference Numbers (IRNs), QR codes and acknowledgement details for future reference and audits.

How Ciphermetic solved it
Developed a user-friendly Lightning Web Component that allowed finance teams to capture invoice information in a structured format directly from the Salesforce Invoice record.
Implemented Apex logic to automatically generate GST-compliant JSON payloads based on invoice details, eliminating manual file creation and reducing errors.
Established a secure integration using Named Credentials, Apex HTTP Callouts, and the Government GST E-Invoice API to automatically submit invoice data and receive the generated IRN, QR code, acknowledgement number, and response.
Automatically stored generated JSON files, API responses, IRNs, QR codes, and acknowledgement numbers within the Salesforce Files section while updating invoice status in real time for complete visibility, audit readiness, and seamless user access.
